Fine Art Papier Mache by Louie Rochon
F A N T A S T I C A L, Eccentrically Imaginative, Larger than Life & Vibrant Papier Mache Sculpture.

"Your art is REAL because it contains not only social commentary, but originality, humor, passion, intuition, human angst and the soul of an artist! It is NOT to be denied." Lee Wexler, M.F.A; Professor of Fine Arts, California State University, Los Angeles; Professor Emeritus. _____________________________________ Working from his secluded waterfront Studio in Whidbey Island, WA., Rochon feverishly unleashes his peculiarly volatile socio-political-philosophical views through life-sized, ornately detailed cartoon-like papier mache sculptures.

Additional Views Of The Critic

THE CRITIC
I have the most fun with this piece in my gallery.
Most people will patiently wait for the man standing in front of the modern art painting, to leave so they can see the painting hung on the wall.  After noticing that this guy just isn't moving, they cautiously edge closer to discover, usually with loud laughter, that they've 'been had'.  The Mad Artist is coming out of the painting, holding the well dressed (full sized man) off the floor, by his neck.  Scroll down to read the brochure that The Critic is holding.

This piece is installed in the very front of my gallery and serves notice to all that Un-Solicited Constructive Criticism is NOT requested or appreciated.  The beauty of having your own gallery is that you get to express yourself, your way.  Other scattered signs on my gallery walls reveal my warped sense of humor ... "In My Little Shop, the Customer is NOT Always Right" and "Artists Can Be Real Pricks.  Be Careful How You Criticize."  The sign on the front of the Gallery says it all "Welcome to the Strangest Little Art Gallery in WA."

Enjoy.
